How to personalize CropDefender

1) Customize your setup.

Logon to CropDefender. The options in the navigation bar under 'My Handheld' allow you to customize the standard templates. When you are finished, click 'download setup' from the navigation menu. Save the setup file to the CropDefender folder on your handheld and run ActiveSync. Your handheld will now display your custom setup.

Where is the CropDefender folder?

If you completed step 2 above, there will be a folder on your desktop named "<your handheld> My Documents".  Inside you will find the CropDefender folder.

2) Take Data on your PocketPC.
Experiment with the various templates for recording data, and your options to view data and create reports directly on your handheld.

3) Transfer a copy of your data to the CropDefender website.
Logon to CropDefender.  In the navigation bar, select  'My Handheld' then ' data upload'. After transferring your data, experiment with the various options to view data and create reports on-line.

System Requirements:
  • CropDefender runs on your desktop internet browser and a smartphone or handheld PDA with PocketPC 2003, Windows Mobile 5, or Windows Mobile 6 (Classic or Professional). Screen size is designed for 320x240 resolution, although you may contact us for a beta version that runs on 640x480 VGA screens.
  • Printing and email directly from your handheld may require additional drivers specifically designed for your PocketPC.
  • GPS features requires a separate GPS reciever and Windows Mobile 5 or 6 operating system (2003 not compatible). CropDefender has been tested with several of the more popular GPS units. However, due to the large variations in receivers and software, we cannot guarantee that it will work with all GPS units.
